We are delighted to announce that in 2025 the Jung Fellowship for the History of Medicine was awarded for the first time—to Maria Krümpelmann.
Mindful of our own history, the Jung Foundation also supports doctoral research on medicine under National Socialism. To this end, we have expanded the Jung Fellowship Program, which is aimed at early-career medical scientists: initially limited to the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), the program will enable one selected medical doctoral candidate each year to conduct full-time research for one year. The fellowship amounts to €15,000, paid in monthly installments of €1,250 over the course of a year; the funds are not earmarked for a specific purpose.
We extend our warmest congratulations and look forward to the year ahead together!
