Welcome to the Jung family: As of now, Johannes Spengler, Lena Polensky, Nico Rademann, Alina Klein und Tobias Bokowski (from left) will receive a Jung Fellowship of 15,000 euros for one year. The scholarship gives promising doctoral candidates in human medicine the freedom to focus fully on their research for twelve months—while also opening doors to our network of foundation members and award recipients.

The fellowship is not earmarked for a specific purpose. This allows fellows to advance their projects full-time and, if needed, pause their medical studies. They also benefit from professional exchange and networking with leading scientists in our community.

With the Jung Fellowship Program, we have since 2022 deliberately expanded our support to include the next generation of medical scientists. The program is initially limited to Hamburg and is aimed at carefully selected doctoral candidates in medicine. In addition to financial support, the fellows gain access to the Jung Symposium, where our award recipients present their outstanding work each year.
