Strong women in the Board of Trustees of the Hamburg Jung Foundation

 

Hamburg, 24. October 2022. Combined scientific and economic know-how: Since June, Professor Dr Blanche Schwappach-Pignataro, Dean of the Medical Faculty Hamburg, has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board and Board of Trustees of the Hamburg Jung Foundation for Science and Research. This means that the respected molecular biologist is now the second woman on the foundation’s Board of Trustees, alongside Petra Scharner-Wolff, Chief Financial Officer of the Hamburg Otto Group.

Blanche Schwappach-Pignataro and Petra Scharner-Wolff stand for bundled expertise from Hamburg science as well as business. Both are now also using their many years of experience in leading positions in the management of the Foundation for the advancement of human medicine: Prof. Schwappach-Pignataro as Dean of the Medical Faculty and member of the Board of Directors at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, and business graduate Scharner-Wolff as Group Director of Finance, Controlling and Human Resources at the Otto Group. Together with Dr. Christian Flach and Jochen Spethmann, the two women form the Board of Trustees.
