CALL FOR PROPOSALS
ERNST JUNG CAREER ADVANCEMENT AWARD

The Ernst Jung Career Advancement Award comprises a grant of 210,000 euros. The funding is intended for a three-year period and to finance a research project. The funds are used in accordance with the DFG guidelines. The funds are disbursed in two instalments, whereby payment of the second half of the amount can be made after 18 months at the earliest and 5 years at the latest and is tied to the positive review of an interim report by the Board of Trustees.

APPLICATION

Requirements: The call is addressed to medical professionals under 35 years of age (born after January 01, 1987) who, after at least two years of scientific research, preferably abroad, wish to work at a German clinic in order to do in-depth scientific work and at the same time aspire to clinical training as a specialist. The applicant and the receiving clinic agree that during the first year only scientific work will be carried out. Subsequently, the clinical training can begin, but it must be focused on scientific effectiveness through intermittent release for a total of two additional years.
