Jung Gold Medal for Medicine

The Jung Gold Medal for Medicine recognises great achievements that have already been made. It honours exceptional contributions to medical progress and the entire lifetime achievement of a scientist in research and clinical work.

The medal does not just serve as a symbolic gesture of esteem and acknowledgement, it is also linked to a scholarship currently amounting to €30,000. The medallist can award this to an aspiring young scientist of their choice.

The Jung Gold Medal for Medicine has been awarded since 1990. Its laureates include pioneers in different specialist medical fields.
