Laurates Prof. Matthias Tschöp and Prof. Christian Hertweck
This year, the Ernst Jung Prize for Medicine of the Jung Foundation for Science and Research goes to two outstanding researchers. Munich-based Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Matthias Tschöp is being recognized to his development of therapeutics for the principal metabolic diseases adiposity and diabetes. Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Christian Hertweck receives the award for his research in bioactive natural substances. With their research, both scientists make important contributions to the current state of knowledge in their respective fields. They will share the prize money of 300,000 euros equally. Read more...
